D.1 Polarized solid targets

Activities at the Polarized Target aim at a further improved data taking for various photoproduction experiments off polarized protons and especially off polarized deuterons (neutrons) with the Crystal Barrel detector. For this the work is concentrated on the finishing of a new ³He/⁴He dilution refrigerator with various internal superconducting coil options. Target material optimization is focused on trityl doped d-butanol and on C₈D₈ and CD₂ foil targets.
