Subnuclear Structure of Matter

A7. Baryon masses, resonances and production processes with functional methods

Within a systematic approach of Dyson-Schwinger, Bethe-Salpeter and Faddeev equations and a general framework of coupling two external currents to baryons we aim at the theoretical description of masses of ground and excited baryon states, form factors and production processes based on quark and gluon degrees of freedom. We plan to go significantly beyond the existing rainbow-ladder studies by including meson cloud effects.
